Our virtual Creative Studio meets for a creative session, led over Zoom. We hope it inspires you to create something!
Videos, reflection and creative responses are shared on the Arts With God Facebook page »
Today’s topic is Freedom instead of slavery, and the Scripture references are Galatians 3:28 & Philemon.
Our standing in Christ has made us equal, and the Bible shows that despite the slave Onesimus’ running away from his master, when he turned to Christ, and despite the possible sheer punishment of returning to his master Philemon, when he did so, and with the apostle Paul’s help, both master and slave are advised to be reconciled as brothers in Christ.
In the discussion, we find that in these strange times, each of us are as if under house arrest, in this pandemic lockdown. But the physical prison need not equate to the mental or spiritual prison. Despite our circumstances, we may yet embrace the true freedom found in our Lord.
Galatians 3:28 (NIV):
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Sharing
We post the artworks, poetry, etc, that’s done at our studio sessions on Facebook. But its good to hear the sharing directly from the artists! We cultivate a safe and encouraging space for all the creatives here, that we may all grow in Christ, in spiritual as well as artistic & creative maturity. We are also blessed to see the special messages that the Holy Spirit imparts to each of us, due to the differences in our gifts and characters.
