Our virtual Creative Studio meets for a third podcast, led over Zoom. We hope it inspires you to create something! This is our weekly fellowship and creative worship meeting, with today’s leading by Suzi.
Chaos without God. Romans chapters 1 and 2 are full of description of what happens to our hearts and minds when we want nothing to do with the God who made us. And yet Romans 2 verse 4 reminds us of God’s kindness, patience and forbearance towards us.
The verse that caught my attention today was Romans 1 verse 20: “for since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made” (NIV)
God is evident in creation all around us whether it is in the awesome beauty of the stars or the detail of even the simplest flower.
Psalm 8 verse 3: “Look at the splendour of your skies,
your creative genius glowing in the heavens.
When I gaze at your moon and your stars,
mounted like jewels in their settings,
I know you are the fascinating artist who fashioned it all!” (TPT)
This morning I picked a dandelion, a common weed, and put it in a vase just to marvel at its beauty and the intricate details of its petals. At this time when things feel out of control it is good to be reminded of the eternal nature and power of our creator God and that He has our care in his hands.
If you are inspired by the sharing, do use your creative talents to do a bit of art in worship, and post it to our Facebook page to inspire other artists!
