Climate change conversations

Tuesday 15 October, 1:38pm

On Monday 30th September there was a discussion evening held in the Green Room asking ‘The climate emergency: how should we respond?’

Greta Thunberg (16) says we should listen to the science – and panic. Sir David Attenborough (93) says, ‘It may sound frightening, but the scientific evidence is that if we have not taken dramatic action within the next decade, we could face irreversible damage to the natural world and the collapse of our societies.’

What does Jesus say – and will it change what we do?

The evening included some brief testimony, short chats and round table discussions, and watching a short video. A summary of some of the thoughts and questions that came out of these conversations is below and on the noticeboard at the back of church.
